Stanbic qualifies today. 3 things to watch into Thursday
Wednesday's close: the NGX All-Share Index edged up 0.06% to 247,673.65, adding about ₦104bn in market value to ₦160.81trn. Year to date, the index is up 59.16%. More stocks rose than fell, and Oil & Gas, Banking and Insurance helped the rebound.
Three things for today's session:
1. Stanbic's cut-off is today.
$STANBIC closed Wednesday flat at ₦168.00. Its ₦4.50 interim goes to whoever is on the register at close of business today, Oct 15. Register closes Oct 16–23; cash payment is Nov 13 (cash or scrip). Buying today usually will not settle in time — check with your broker if you are unsure.
2. Banks and liquidity stay in focus. AC$ACCESSCORP led volume again (about 99.37m shares, +1.43% to ₦28.40).
$GTCO was among the most traded by value. After a soft stretch for financials, Wednesday's bank bounce was mild — watch whether it holds.
3. The Dangote Refinery IPO window is still open through Oct 27. The offer at ₦525 runs after the SEC-approved extension. Listing on NGX is expected after allotment.
Wednesday's top movers: Austin Laz +10.00% (₦2.42), eTranzact +9.76% (₦15.75), Livestock Feeds +9.71% (₦16.95). UPDCREIT led losers at -9.96% (₦23.50).
